| Ok friends, out of despreation and exhaustion, yesterday I did a search for "baby gas" and foudn this board. I read EVERY post! My wife and I have started some of the ideas shared, but the BEST piece of information for his severe gas that neither grandmother or our pediatrician suggested was simply to press his knees up against his belly when he curls up. This was GREAT advise. We are also changing my wife's diet (wasnt bad to begin with, but we're willing to try anything), we changed to Similac LF for the occation bottle feed and I even tried the rectal thermometer trick. In just a couple of hours he was a TOTALLY different kid.
When I got home last night my wife was in tears, she felt like she was doing something wrong, and that he did "like" her! For the first time in a week, he's sleeping for three and four hours at a time.
