Hi.

I highly recommend not having amnio. I lost a healthy baby girl at 19 weeks as a result of one and the loss, followed by a difficult and lengthy delivery, was the worst experience imaginable. I have two healthy boys but at 36, they recommended the procedure because of my age. Even if you found out that something was wrong, what would you do? I've held a baby at 19 weeks and she was small but otherwise looked just like a baby so abortion at that point would be nothing short of murder, regardless of where you stand on the issue. Best of luck with your little ones. You'll do great!
