SUBJECT: Helping children learn
I just wanted to share a couple of sites I have found to be very helpful in trying to help my children understand what they are working on in school. We do have homework everyday but it seems to touch on something, and then move on sometimes. I have found learningpage.com, it has fun free printable pages of work that children do in Preschool....up to third grade. It covers math, reading and science, and I used a lot of the pages for my daughter that hadn't started school yet. (I wasn't very good at just trying to teach things on my own.) It also has handwriting pages in three different types that helped my daughter when she started kindergarten and couldn't write her letters very well. The second site is, mathgoodies.com. This site has come in very handy in helping my daughter understand different math problems. Again, it seems with her math homework, she has 3 problems of one type, 3 of another, 2 of another, etc. She doesn't seem to get the hang of it doing so few at a time. If you need help or ideas on helping your children understand their homework, check them out. Also, if anyone out there knows of similar sites where you can print free worksheets, please let me know. Happy homeworking! :-)
