It's wonderful that your 3 year old doesn't like diapers! But it's a difficult inbetween time, it sounds like.
I suggest that you get him a potty chair that can stay in his room - and if he's "napping" and needs to go, he can use this potty chair with no guilt or fear of consequences, since it's an appropriate place for the urine and poop to go. Then explain that he can use his own potty and shut the lid, instead of using the toy bin.
As for the sneakiness, sounds just like my 3 year old son, and every other child this age I've known. There are lots of books that address this stage of development and suggest discipline approaches that really work. Almost all of them teach you how to change the PARENTS' attitude and approach - and it does work!!
