Wow! It sounds like you're talking about MY son!
He will be 4 in April but he started doing things like that around 2+1/2. He would line up EVERYTHING and it had to be JUST PERFECT. I also have a now 20 month old daughter who at that time would attempt to knock his "creations" over or out of order and he would freak out.I just always thought he was just a perfectionist but one thing we were concerned about (and still are) is that he has delayed speech as well. He has a large vocabulary (uses many single words and a few phrases but no sentences).My son also screams sometimes.I don't know how your son is socially but mine is at times socially inappropriate. He does attend preschool and we actually are meeting with a pediatric neurologist (per teacher's suggestion and our pediatrician).I've also thought he may have PDD or something of that nature.Not to fighten you, just wanted to suggest that you talk to your son's pediatrician. Would love to hear more about your son. Does he exhibit any other signs of PDD/autism such as hand flapping when excited or anything else that may concern you. Please reply.
