How do I react to being a young stepmother?

I am seeing someone who I have been with for a very long time. His ex is pregnant with twins and I am happy for him. He is always talking about me being a step mother. But see I am only 16. I love him a lot and I really want to be with him but I am clueless on how to act or what to do. Will someone please help me?
