I also have a 2 1/2 year old daughter. She doesn't like sleeping in her own bed either. I think that every child has a time when they don't want to be away from their parents. There are many differant reasons. Some could be scared of something they've seen or maybe just the fact of being away from their parents. My daughter did this up until she was 1 yr. old. I finally got her broke when my husband and I were separated. I let some friends move in with me who also had a younger baby who cried a lot so my daughter just kept waking up and crawling in bed with me. Then after awhile when my husband and I got back together she just didn't want to leave either of our side. But now we just let her stay up and ware herself out until she's so tired she doesn't care where she sleeps. She doesn't take a nap any earlier than 12:00 and doesn't sleep any later than 2:00. That seems to help me a lot. But not all the time, but hey, at least you could get a couple of nights in your own bed. I let her sleep with me when she was a baby. Now I have an 8 month old son and he has never slept with me. He falls to sleep in his own bed every night,so my advice on that is don't let your next one sleep with you and see where that goes. If they do the same thing then you know that it's what every child goes through.
