SUBJECT: Holiday Traditions
I'm just starting to pull out my precious holiday things. Some, I grew up with. Others have become special traditions for MY kids...

When I was little, a family friend made me a manger. We always put the pieces in a little bit at a time. The animals first. Mary and Joseph on Christmas Eve... The baby didn't arrive until Christmas morning... That's a tradition I have definitely kept.

When my oldest was tiny, we started giving her an ornament every year for Christmas. As she got older, she started giving US one, too (hand-made, for the longest time -- the best kind!) Now, with two kids, the tradition has continued... We have a VERY full tree! ::smile:: My daughter is moving into her first place this year -- when we take HER ornaments off the tree this year, they will be packed to move with her. A little piece of her childhood to get her new home started.

I'm betting other folks have special traditions, too -- whatever holiday they celebrate this time of year. I'd love to hear them!
