its true hpt can pick up as early as the first missed day of your period but also the best test is a blood a lil more expensive but its the only true answer you can get. And if you take a home test and you get anykind of a line in the answer window faint or not (just don't try to read between the lines) and see a really faint line when there's nothing there.. ok anyways like i was saying usually with anykind of line in the answer window your most likely pregnant and as far as birth control for you who was on 2 kinds .. If your on the pill or the shot Some kinds of pain meds or perscription pills will over power the birth control and cancel it out and you may become pregnant.. WQell th best thing for you guys is to just call the drs or go right into a walkin clinic and go ahead and have them test you.. and find out I've gotten neg answers for 3 months on home test and one at the drs office i call her back in a couple of days and get the results from my blood work back, I've also heard that some women have a really low HCG level even the drs urine test will show negative, I have a friend that tested negative until her 6 month with a urine test. I'm not sure if iam or not I have had all the signs that say i am but the test(S) are what stump me. I've been trying for over yr to have a baby so neg home test are nothing to me when i see a neg test, i usually start that same day or the next but i've never been 3 1/2 months late for my period before, the dr just said its a hormone imblance and she gave me a persciption for Provera which should start my period in 10-12 days of taking the pills but i'm not taking them until the blood work comes back in. anyways you girls take care and hope you get the answers you want and If your pregnant and didn't want it just feel blessed that your able to have a baby there's many women out there want a baby more than anything in the world and can't have a baby and its very sad to hear that someone has gotten pregnant and has had a abortion just cuz they were not ready to be a mommy or a daddy, that's not a good form of birth control it can mess you up in the future for when you want to be a mommy. just be strong and keep your chin up all things happen for reasons no matter what they are.. ((hugs))
