Missed period....Blood test too early? Anxiously waiting.

I am a 36 year old mom of 3. (Daughter & twin sons) My last period was December 10, 2002. I get my period every 28 day like clockwork, never late. December 27, 2002 I had a discharge of pinkish color. Was up in middle of nights 2x that week nauseated. (implantation?) My period was due January 7, 2003. Doctors office Urine test Jan 7 was negative. Had blood test Jan 9 negative. Im now 10 days late for my period. My nipples and breasts are sore. I feel full and bloated. Had blood test yesterday (HCG titer) and still neg. According to my Doctor's calculations..if I were pregnant.. I would be 3-5 weeks. Could it be too early for the blood test to detect pregnancy? I am very anxious and cant relax. Any advice?
