I'm still waiting for my round of bloodwork to come back. I called yesterday; and they couldn't seem to find it. My BBT is not at all regular. It's all over the place. But the clear blue monitor seems to be working ok so far. It still hasn't detected ovulation or high ferility yet, but I'm only on day 7 of my cycle. I'm also using the hormonal forcaster (see the PS at bottome of the page for link). It's a free piece of software that calculates your fertility based upon various inputs. So there's still hope. Right now we're trying the "have sex almost everyday method" which turns into every other day.
I never imagined making a baby took this much effort. In high school I was so afraid to have sex; every year we had a new crop of pregnant girls running around. No one said they were the exception and not the norm in terms of fertility.
As far as vitex it should be taken from day one of your cycle to the day of ovulation and then stopped until day one again. It's been shown to help some women conceive by stimulating your hormone levels, estrogen and progesterone.
In the last few months of trying to get pregnant I realized it's less stressful to try to enjoy sex more. I started by trying to create a mood: music, candels, sweet emails for him while he's at work, etc. My husband seems to enjoy it more. And it seems like less of a task at hand, which after months and months of trying it turns into. Why didn't our mothers ever tell us about this?
Hope to hear your pregnant in a few weeks, keep me posted. I won't know until feb 10th, a long wait.
