| I know what you're going through. I went for an ultra sound 2 days ago, and the baby wasn't in the sac. I had to have a D & C yesterday. My doc told me I had a blighted ovum...which means I miscarried early on in the pregnancy (even though i didn't bleed). He also said something was developmentally wrong with the fetus and that was my body's way of taking care of it. He said there are no precautions to take the next time we try and he also said it's very unlikely that this will happen again!
If I were you, I wouldn't wait to have the D&C...I would get it done ASAP before infection sets in and then you might have a bigger problem to deal with. It's not easy...I'm very sad, but I can also take comfort in what my doc said...It's better it happend when it did, then to have a severly deformed child that might not live.
