SUBJECT: Toddler bed helpful tool that worked for us
Our son went to his toddler bed (2 1/2) and the first week went great then it started with crying for me at night and kept saying he wanted to cuddle (he has alwasy slept in the crib). ONE we turned the door handle around on his bedroom door, we say goodnight close the door and turn the lock after one night or one instance of him trying to open he never got out of bed after that. We do unlock the door once he is alseep. Now when he wakes up he calls from his bed. Anyway in response to the constant calling to cuddle, I took my son to the mall where they have a "Build a Bear" store, I told him we were going to make him a special bear to sleep with at night. We made a doggy stuffed animal, stuffed him, put in a heart, and sewed him up, gave him a "bath" and brushed him then we went to the computer and named the doggy "cuddles" so he has Cuddles to cuddle with until our alarm clock goes off in the morning. It really has worked. I have to kiss cuddles good night at bedtime too!
