3 yr old won't go to sleep before midnight HELP

I have a three year lod that if she takes a nap at any time for any langth she won't go to sleep till about 12:00am and that means that I have to stay up with her what should I do I have tryed just about everything. I have tryed laying down with her to lettieng her cry I don't know whatto do next.
