I've had terrible stomach pain for about two years. It seems like everytime I was under major stress and or when going without eating and then binging I would get it. The episodes would last about and hour or two and massaging the area and taking TUMS of something similar the pain would go away. Most recently, the pain increased in intensity and the episodes would last all night. Nothing I'd do would releave the pain. A tremendous burning sensation and pain would go right through my esophagus and through my back. I thought that I could be having a heart attach. It was until these episodes would start affecting my workday that I decided to go to the doctor. I had a sonogram and some blood test. I was given PREVPACK to treat ulcers for 7 days. HOwever, the burning continued when the treatment ended. I just so the gull bladder specialist and he found that I had stones in my gull bladder. According to him, it is best when to remove the gull bladder than trying to pass the stones, which is impossible without causing major problems i.e. pancreatitis or something worse. I am scheduled for surgery this Friday. I hope that this is the answer to all my digestive problems. Good luck!
