I am new here and concerned. I am 35 and never really knew that I had two cervixes or uteruses. Doctors said...that I had a tissue separating the cervix but never informed me that I had two until a year ago...this was my fourth doctor that I have gone to for annual exams. The doctor found that I had two cervixes and had me do a pelvic ultrasound. (I was fairly bad about going to the doctor and didn't have a pelvic checkup for about 10 years).

I just found out that I have two uteruses with the two cervixes. She did check my kidneys but said those were okay.

How difficult is it to get pregnant with the two uteruses? I've heard that it is difficult. Someone at work yesterday told me that she knew someone who had this and the doctors actually went in and did a hysterectomy on one side (leaving one uterus and cervix) in order for her to become pregnant. Has anyone heard of this?

I haven't actually started trying to get pregnant yet. I am 35 and know that the biological clock is starting to tick as well.
