 | I started my son in preschool in the fall - a three year old program. He had some ajustment problems initially with crying when I left, but, now is just fine with separation. My problem is with the school itself. I was disappointed to hear that they enrolled 2 year olds into a three year old program. My son will be 4 in Jan. Two of these students will not be turning 3 until March and June! The class size is small and three of the other kids have speech problems. I'm worried he is not attending school with anyone on his level. I've set up play dates and they are horrible because the communication is just not there. It is frustrating for him. I'm also disappointed in how the school doesn't stick to a routine as they said they would. Tues. music class, Wed., show and tell. Sometimes he comes home and says they didn't do that and he looks forward to it. When asked they just say, "Oh, we were busy with other things" I don't think that is good because children get use to routine and look forward to things. Another thumbs down, he's told me they have watched videos, scooby doo and mickey mouse videos. This is upsetting because why not read to them! I just found this out, so I will speak to them on Monday. I guess it just seems they are very laxed and that concerns me. Should I look into another program for January or am I over-reacting.
