I think the most important thing is to have your son evaluated by a specialist. I have been through this already with my son. I'm sorry to say that you are not always going to get alot of support from a public school. Do not remove your child from the classes he is in until you are sure that he needs further assistance. Sometimes there are children who just need a little more help than others and teachers are quick to label them with learning disabilities. I took my son to a psychologist and found out that he is very intelligent, he just has trouble staying focused. Please don't let these people label your son and maybe ruin his confidence before you seek help.Hang in there it's a long haul but you'll make it.
