SUBJECT: Not living up to potential
My son, who is now in 4th grade, is not living up to his potential. He was reading before kindergarten, and is in the gifted program in school. On ISAT last year, he got 195 out of 200 in math, and 180 out of 200 in reading. This year, however, in school, he is not finishing assignments, and is generally doing sloppy work.We are in close contact with teacher now, and are overseeing all homework assignments, but how can we motivate him to want to do well, for himself?
