Well I'm eighteen weeks pregnant with twins and I found out at my first doctor's appointment when I was only seven weeks. He was doing a pelvic exam and said I was measuring too big for seven weeks he did an ultrasound and sure enough I was exactly seven weeks one day and carrying twins. I never imagined that could be the case but thinking back now I lost my waistline really quickly. I started wearing maternity clothes especially pants at three months. My first pregnancy I didn't need maternity clothes until my seventh month. If you find out that you are having twins you will want to get a twin pregnancy book. I have found that everything with a multiple pregnancy is different. The babies develop at the same pace but since you have two your weight gain and other pregnancy symptoms are different and I have experienced them sooner than with my first pregnancy. Good Luck to you once you have an ultrasound that should answer all your questions.
