Toddler & Preschool | Tantrums and Aggressive Behavior

SUBJECT: At my wits end.
I also have a very angry 4 year old. We first thought the behavior was due to jealously since I have a four month old too. Usually you can tell when the tantrum is coming on and it doesn't take much to trigger it. He has bloodcurdling screams and he throws things all over the house. He yells back at me and is just plain mean to everyone in the house. Its almost like he doesn't know how to stop himself from doing these things. I have tried the spanks, the time outs and the taking away of his things. Nothing seems to work. I am completely exhausted and depressed in having to deal with this and the new baby as well. I'm not exactly looking for any advice, as I've read everyones messages which are the same as mine. I'm just glad I found this place to at least get some steam off of my back. Thanks to all who read this.
