SUBJECT: Beauty Pagents
My next door neighbour has a 7 year old daughter that she is constantly entering in beauty pagents and talent contests. I see her occasionally when she plays with my 7 year old neice, who I watch after school. Her beautiful brown hair has been bleached blonde and looks dry and brittle. Her mom calls her home alot so she can shave her arms and legs in preperation of yet another beauty pagent and takes the girl to the beauty salon to get acrylic tips/manacure and gets her eyebrows waxed. This girl never smiles when I see her, and just last week I offered her some pudding for a snack and she said she wasn't allowed to eat it because it had fat in it! I am really worried about her, she seems very unhappy and isn't allowed to laugh, ride her bike, or play like the other children. Should I say something to the mother, or should I mind my own buisness?
