Oh my gosh!!! Been there done that and still am doing it and my baby is almost 3. She has never slept all night. She still wakes up at 2 or 3 am every night. I finally gave in and let her sleep in our bed. She slept a whole lot better and I got to sleep better also. I know that they all say don't do it but I needed my sleep to be a better mom and what the heck they are only little once. Studies show that sleeping with your parents makes you a more confident child. Check that out. The Chinese sleep with their children. Anyway, then at age 2 she got a big girl bed and I put that in our room right next to our bed and I held her hand to go to sleep and made a big deal out of her sleeping there. Finally got her in her own room and she actually goes in there after brushing teeth and whole routine and falls asleep there. Just wakes up in the middle of the night and wants to sleep with us. Which I say ok and we all get a good nights sleep and you wake up to your adorable little angel snuggling up to you.
Another thought that crossed my mind when she was little. I bought a very firm mattress and she never slept in that bed. When I bought the big girl bed I bought a cheap softer mattress and she slept in her bed. Gave the mattress to a cousin for her newborn and her baby won't sleep on it either. Maybe that may tell you something. Is the mattress to hard? Wish I could help, but just wanted to tell you that there is hope. Good luck.
