 | You are NOT alone!!!! This very thing happened with my son when he was 3. One of the children I care for (I am a childcare provider) hadf my son do that to him!! I had caught them being inappropriate with one another and I spoke with his mom and the boys. When I cought this incident, I was shocked, I spanked both of the boys. I was so upset with the situation and myself, I called CPS to see if my spanking the other boy could be considered abuse! The person on the other line said no, corporal punishment is legal in our state, however, I could be charged with neglect since the boys had been acting inappropriately and I continued to let the other boy around my child! Needless to say, I quit caring for the boy and asked my son open ended questions and called CASA to get some advise. This is MORE than just curiosity!!! I origionally chalked up the boys behavior as curiosity, but more things came out later and I am sure that the little boy who did this tomy son has BIGGER issues. It may not be the parents, it could be a stepsibbling, anyone!! I would not let my child play with the one who did this. I have been very careful to not shame my son, he told my that when he does things it feels nice, I told him God made ourr bodies that was and it is for us to have for ourselves, in private, and to never share those body parts with another person!
I want you to know you aren't alone, I was hysterical when this happened and when I found out the full extent of everything these "games" intailed! Please, keep your daughter away from the other child and make sure she feels comfortable talking about it and watch her carefully so that she doesn't try to teach these games to another child! Good luck to you!! |
