SUBJECT: Lactose intolerance
My son is 6 weeks old and has been diagnosed with lactose intolerance. I am so confused because he was 100% breastfed when he began having mucus and blood in his stool. He was still gaining weight and otherwise healthy. Everything I read says that this is extremely rare and happens later in life. Has anyone had a child this young and with these circumstances have lactose intolerance? Please help. Thanks!
