My daughter is also 20 months old and has never had cow's milk. Since birth, she has reacted strongly to dairy products (even when I ate dairy while nursing!), with eczema so bad it looked as if she had severe burns on her body. She drinks rice milk only now and will not drink anything else. However, we have not really had a problem with well-meaning family members because they saw how BAD her skin looked when at its worst. Since that time we have gotten her to the point where she can eat yogurt and cheese without a problem. We are still careful. I would explain to family memebers how important it is to you that they give her only what you permit. After all, she is your daughter. We also bring alot of our daughters' foods with us when we travel, simply because the items aren't kept in just anyone's home! It can make for more work on your part, but also alot less heartache in the end! Good luck!
