Not everyone spots... but if you are due to have your period in 5 days you could take the First Response test now... the test can be taken before your period is due. The test can detect the HCG hormone at very low levels... buy one with 2 tests in it, that way you can take one now, and if it shows negitive wait a few more days and take it again. You do not have to use first morning urine, however it does have the most concentrated amount of HCG in it....

I took my test a week before my period was due and got my positive result.
