I had the same thing happen (and the same month).
Dr. told me I was already PAST menopause (based on missing periods AND blood tests) I began to have severe hot flashes.

I did my own research and started using NATURAL PROGESTERIN CREAM (health food store). Periods have been regular ever since and no hot flashes... Just saw DR last week. She took note of this for future reference. Get book on "What your Doctor doesn't know about menopause"
