Hi there,
I have to agree, do not use the depo prevera. I had used it after my daughter, when I was 16 and it caused too many problems! I had an irregular period. Sometimes I wouldn't have it, and then sometimes I would spot. It helped in my gaining weight, plus much more. I was put on ortho tri-cyclen, to try and help regulate my cycle once more. I have to be honest, I have been on this pill for a couple months shy of a year now, I love it! No symptoms, that I can even tell of. I mean I had some trouble remembering in the beginning to take the pills. But, after approx. a month or so, I had got in the habit, and all is well here. A nice cycle of 28 days. As for how strong it is for birth control, I would like to know that myself, hehe. But, I believe it has a pretty good percentage. I think 98.9 or something close to that range. Good Luck!
