SUBJECT: 7 Yrs Old - Stuffed Animals real???
My 7 year old daughter came crying to me that her sister had just killed her pet, "snakey". This is a stuffed snake and she was crying like it was real. I told her that it was alright, it was just a stuffed animal. She started crying harder and picked it up and said "He won't talk to me any more." She was really upset so I just pretended that I fixed the stuffed snake and told her that snakes can only die if their heads are cut off so he was ok. I am worried if I did the right thing and let her pretend that the snake is real. She is very smart (she is one of the top students in her class)but she always treats it like a real animal and talks to it. Should I tell her the truth or is this good for her imagination?
