I only know what I have read in my pregnancy books about Group B Strep. The book says that some women carry this bacteria in the vagina and that it is not harmful to the mother. It can be harmful to the fetus by causing an infection when the baby comes in contact with it during delivery. Most doctors do a screen to see if you have it so that they can treat you for it before the baby is born and during labor. I don't think there is cause for much concern, but your doctor wants to know so he/she can take care of it. Don't feel like you're whining about the uncomfortableness. I feel the same sensation too, sometimes worse than others. I don't think it will go away until the stent comes out. Sitting is the only thing that helps me feel better. It has kind of been getting to me lately, so I have been feeling a bit depressed over the whole thing. I just try to think positively about it. Two weeks down, only 4 or so to go! Try not to let it get to you, and do take it easy. I was feeling bad about not being able to do as much around the house, but I am learning that I just can't right now. Try to find things that might distract you from thinking about it. I just try to keep remembering that when we are all done with this, there will be a beatiful little one to love and cuddle with!
