my mother doesnt spank she punches

Im having problems i need to know what child abuse excatly is when i was 12 my mother hit me all the time we got in little arguments and shed hit me no not spank not slap shed throw punches at me one time we wereplaying around i locked my self in the bathroom she started cussing so i opened the door and she grabbed me by the neck and slammed me againts the wall when i thought we were playing and she cut my shoulder on the pictureframe that was behind me ive had a social worker come in blah blah balh they didnt help now she doesnt hit me but I still remember all those nights of getting hurt and crying ive had to go to the hospital once for slitting my wrists i need help and i dont want to be here anymore but i dont want to be put in a group home she verablly abuses me and emotionally hurts me i still cry about this certain night when she kept hitting me over and over and over and didnt stop it still hurts me and it happend almost 2 years ago now i have a meeting with the police for running away she makes me look bad and im going to get in trouble but the cops dont seem to realize its not my fault nessicalily that i have run away ive had a bad past and bad relationship with my mother and i dont feel that she is a good mother she doesnt compromise shes at the bar almost every night we just got in a huggr argument last night and she called the police all because i asked her why did she used to hit me i need help please email me i really need help now the meeting is tuesday 22nd i believe i need to know what i should say i feel stuck and left with no descions i need help
