My son (now nearly 18) developed a light brown birthmark when he was still a baby. He wasn't bothered by it until recently and we decided to enquire about laser treatment. He has so far had 3 treatments and the mark is now only a very pale pink (although it is still healing from the last blast). He is now much more confident and has even got himself a job! The laser treatments do make the area very sore (it is ,afterall, a burn) but there is no scar left. Aloe vera gel is very good especially immediately after the treatment.
