When I first told my parents I was sexually active at 16 they had this same problem. We tried everything Shot, Pills, patch you name it we tried it. Definitely not the shot I am now suffering from serious ovarian cysts, endometreosis and cysticfibrosis because of the shot it completely stops your period and talkk about some serious PMS teenagers are bad enough without having to deal with PMS. The patch was O.K. I felt really awkward with it but htat would be something for your daughter to decide. I had the best luck with ortho-tricyclin I think that is right. It regulated my periods, cleared up the acne, prevented pregnancy and didn't have any major side affects except for the first month or so I had a minor headache off and on. The only downfall with the pill is that you have to remember to take it. Good Luck
