SUBJECT: Getting pregnant after the pill....
Hello! I am new to the whole idea of pregnancy, so please be patient! We decided to try to get pregnant about a month ago, so I stopped taking the pill. I had been on the pill for about 5 years. While I was on it, I would go a few months without a period, which my GYN was aware and said was OK, but before the pill I had a regular 28 day cycle every month. So, of course I thought that as soon as I went off the pill I'd be pregnant. I have friends who got pregnant a month or two after stopping the pill and then I have friends who have been trying for over a year. What is normal after being on the pill??? I had a period after stopping the pill and I had a positive ovulation predictor test on day 12 and I just knew I'd be pregnant this month!! Then yesterday, I started my period and it has been very heavy and very painful. Why don't things just go right back to normal when you stop the pill? Sorry to ramble, but THANK YOU!!!!
