SUBJECT: at wits end with 8 year old with adhd/tourette syndrome
my son will be 9 in a few months and is very violent.he hits his 6 and 7 year old sisters,he kicked his 7 year old sister in the eye and cut it,he pulls their hair,kicks and punches them,gets on top of them and beats them.when i try to correct him i get bit,slapped,punched,kicked and anything else he can think of.he gets up every morning by 6am and he goes nonstop til he goes to bed.he curses and is out of control.my son has put holes in the wall,tore up my grandparents car,painted stuff he shouldnt have,beats other kids up.he was diagnosed with adhd when he was 3 and diagnosed with tourettes when he was 6.he has been on ritalin,risperdal,fluphenazine,and others.now he takes concerta 27mg,clonidine 1mg and orap 2mg and they dont seem to be helping at all.i feel like it is just getting worse all the time.he sees a neurologist and will start to see a psychiatrist at the end of october.anyone with the same problems or knows of something to try please email me and let me know.my email address is lovemustang1@aol,com.it would be greatly appreciated. lisa
