I am really sorry to hear of your situation.

Please do not lose hope. It might be just that, an isolated case of spoting.

I had three u/s at weeks 4,6 and 8. All of them showed an empty sac with no development, no fetal pole, no yolk, and of course no embryo. Later I started spotting as well. The diagnosis was blighted ovum and I went ahead and had a d&c.

At six weeks, it's still too early to tell. It could be just residual bleeding from implantation.

I would encourage you to not be disheartened by one bad u/s scan. Get atleast 3 at intervals so you know you are making a right decision.

I also encourage you to check out this pdf of first trimester u/s.

Feel free to write to me personally at designwiz01@yahoo.com if you'd like.

I hope things work out well for you.

hugs
Shaylah
