I am going through a little bit of the same thing right now and went through it before. I have twin boys and one of them was recently really sick and now is waking up through out the night. Basically until he was fully well I would go in and comfort him but, now since he is well and is in the habit of my coming in when he wakes up I am letting him cry it out. Last night be cried for about 1/2 hour 3 different times. It is going to take a few nights if not more of him crying but, eventually he will stop. This happened one other time and it worked. If he is really going nuts for too long then I will go in but, each night it will be shorter and shorter. Depends on your tolerance level. Once they realize that you are not coming in then more than likely they will stop but, it will take a few crying nights. As long as they are o.k. then a little crying won't hurt them.

Good Luck!
