SUBJECT: Sudden clarified as being agressive
My son is 5 yrs. old and has just started attending Kindergarten at a public school. On the second day of his attendance, his teacher wanted to speak with me regarding his aggressive behavior. When teacher’s starts throwing those types of words around, I begin to wonder. Now, at this point I did request that she keep me inform of his daily activities… good or bad. I'm thinking that it is probably just a transitional phase that he's going thru. However…he’s never had any transitional issues before starting at this school. He has been in structured environments prior to attending this school and no provider has ever indicated anything on those lines. Now, the school had an open house two nights ago and as I'm speaking with another parent I learned that her child that sits right next to mine is very playfully, aggressive and highly sensitive. Apparently, the other child’s playing consist more less of roughhousing and this is exactly what the mother says that his little playgroup does. So, I begin to now see that for every cause there is an effect. So, on a daily occurrence I've been questioning may son regarding his actions and everyday he has indicated that this other child has been hitting him. At this point my son hits back… But, this teacher only sees my child reacting. She was also present during the conversation that the other parent and I was having and still insisted that it is my son that is the problem.
Okay, parents I need some advise...please help me out here...
