| Hi, You're not alone in feeling a little nervous. I am 21 weeks along with my second baby and so far my pregnancy has gone like this. I have been treated for a bacteria infection,bladder infection and a yeast infection all in the first several months. Just this week I was having horrible pains in my back and belly on the right side, vomitting and had cold chills; all of these symptoms sent me to our Clinic to learn I had a urinary tract infection severe enough to put me in the hospital overnight to be treated with antibiotics and to rehydrate me. Over the course of the week to follow my pains would come and go. I went back to the doctor for further testing with a urologist and my OB to find out I now have a kidney stone. They put a stint in me just yesterday, with the hopes that now the stone would pass on its own. They tell me if it doesn't pass, then after I deliver my baby, they can go forward with the procedure to break up the stone so it can pass, but during pregnancy the procedure is unsafe for my baby. I would assume you have had your baby by now, I hope the rest of your pregnancy went well. Any advice you can send back to me from your experience would be appreciated. |
