35 weeks and still having sex

Umm isn't there a time when you are supposed to stop having sex? I heard that semen makes the cervix softer and can cause labor. So what I'm wondering is can I keep having sex up until my due date or do I need to stop now? My bf is already dreading the 6 wks after the birth LOL! And my uterus tightens up is that normal? How am I supposed to know if labor is real or false?
