SUBJECT: Do I tell my 5 year old about war?
My daughter is 5 and has started kindergarten this year. As I learned about the highjacking and attacks, I called my daughters school to find out how much information they had told the children. The younger ones was told nothing. So when I picked her up from school my husband and I explained the what had happened and let her watch a little on television so she would understand. This upset her very much. She understands about people dying and going to heaven as she has had many family members die in her short life. When we started to attack back I tried to think of gentle ways to tell her without upsetting her. Should I even tell her now or later? If so, how? She is only 5.
