I have one who will be an adult April 11, 2003 (that's soon, by the way--you're forewarned). If you'd like to know, she's already extremely successful, polite, well-behaved and intelligent and she's going to do very well in life.
I won't lie and say she never did anything wrong, because that would be a lie. And plenty people told me to put her through boot camp, etc. I know a little more than you'd think then, probably. She never went to boot camp. It was all in the magic of a different approach. But I'm not even going to bother and explain it to you because you're too interested in insulting me, and you're determined to put that kid in boot camp now.

I don't care what your parents did. You know what mine were like? They didn't care about my education OR nice cars. They didn't care about my sisters and I at all. I'm glad your parents got you a nice education (which apparently did nothing for your manners and completely killed off every last ounce of humble and pleasant in you); mine were too busy beating and raping my sisters and I for their own fulfillment to care about my education. If I felt that your snippy reply even dignified it I would further explain my problems with your little statements there.
Instead I'll just leave it at "grow up." And you still might consider doing something for this boy. If you just drop the kid off once a week and cram the pills down his throat, it's not going to do any good. You need to be involved. But if you talk to him in any way near the way you've been in every post I've seen here so far, then no wonder he's having trouble! | |  | |
