Hi

My daughter is 5 years old and she has a cafe au lait bithmark over her left eye. When she was an infant, she had laser surgery on it about 5 times. It eliminated about 90% of the birthmark.
The doctor told us in the beginning that it would take about 8 or 9 treatments. After the 5th treatment we moved away and we haven't done any more treatments.

The sun affects the pigment and in the past few summers about 60% of her mark has returned.

This hasn't been an issue with her until recently. She has begun to notice it and others are asking her about it. So, I am starting to look into continuing the laser treatments or for other alternatives.
