Thanks for your reply, Happymama. Turns out, it was all about teething. At AJ's 15 month doctor visit, he had only 6 teeth. At the 18 month visit, he had 15, with the bottom eye teeth starting to poke through! The pain woke him up and the cold bottle nipple dulled the pain enough for him to go back to sleep. Now that all teeth are in, AJ is back to sleeping through the night.
