 | At the age of 4, a spanking is not necessary. At my house, we have a clean-up policy for everyone 6 and above. We tell them to do something (whether it be to clean up their room, clear up the table, etc.) just once. If they don't complete the task in a reasonable amount of time, I turn them over my knee and they get spanked. Then, I give them a little bit longer to complete the task. If they don't, then it's paddle on bare bottom. This works well. Once we started doing this I gave about 15 spankings in the first week, but then I got the idea through their heads and they clean up after themselves without being told. |
