SUBJECT: Hugging and kissing in preschool?
My 4 year old daughter just started preschool this year. She has become close friends with a 4 year old boy in her class. Her teachers have told me that they are always together at all times. The other day when I picked her up she mentioned that he had kissed her on her lips in the classroom during playtime. Yesterday, when I dropped her off at school, the little boy walked in right behind her and put his arm around her shoulder and walked her into the classroom. Her teacher has told me that they, too, have been keeping an eye on them because he has been seen several times trying to kiss her. Is this kind of behavior normal at this age? My husband seems to very uncomfortable with this situation and has mentioned having a conference with the teacher and his mother. Anyone with comments or advice, please respond.
