Mom dont get it

We'll I usually dont do the whole message board thing.. I just stumbled onto this one... and I see a lot of moms post here. I just wanted to ask why mothers dont trust their daughters..I'm 16 and my mom over protects me from eveything I want to do. I want to do all the things guys do like play rough and skateboard, surf and all the things guys do because It's fun. and she says it's not for girls to do and I could get hurt but she lets my bro do that stuff and really doesnt say any thing. I mean yeah I'll get hurt I expect it, but I dont think it's fare that I cant be me. I dunno what do u think?
