hi, I'm glad you want to preserve your childs evolved nature by enquiring about the the vochers to get into Montessori school. First off I live in Brooklyn N.Y. and I made my attempt to get my voucher when my daughter was about 2 1/2,(she's 5 now) and it took about 1 1/2 years to come thru, but the moment you get approved they give you a "waiting list notice" that includes your voucher # and can be used in public daycare but not in private (Montessori) until you get the actual voucher. You might want to get the address of your local ACD (Agency for Child Development)from your local welfare office, as I dont know where you are located.
Plus let me suggest a really good book on the Montessori method; "Montessori Today; A Cmprehensive Appraoch to Education from Birth to Adulthood" by Paula Polk Lillard.
