I have 2 kids with ADHD, and my youngest, my now 13 year old was diagnosed as Bi-Polar earlier this year. They are both on Adderall, and it is a God Send for them. It really does help. My youngest, my daughter, responded well to Ritalin, my son didn't. Ritalin may not be the rigth med... check with your doctor abiout others. I Believe the Adderall is fairly new, but works well for both of my kids. Hang in... it gets beeter as they get older... I also suggest having an IEP (Individual Educational Program) evaluation done for your child. My daughter had a one on one aid with her and it really helped, you have to have an IEP to get the help the kids need! You are their first line of help, seek all the help and support you can get for them. Better to have the help and support than to have the kids feel like they are weird, or bad or whatever they feel.... By the way, most kids with ADHD are extremely smart and talented, help them to focus, and channel thier energy...
